Field Standard

A modular interface standard for complex internal workflows

View Live Project Back to Work

The Vision

Field Standard is a UI system designed for teams that run high-volume operations and need consistency across dashboards, forms, and decision-heavy workflows. The objective was to replace fragmented interface patterns with one coherent standard that improves speed, clarity, and onboarding.

The final system combines strict visual rhythm, reusable components, and clear interaction states so every screen feels predictable and fast to use.

Timeline
10 weeks
Deliverables
Design System, UI Kit, Front-End Library
Role
Product Designer / Front-End Dev

From Audit to Rollout

01
UI Audit
Mapped every existing pattern, duplicate component, and inconsistent behavior across product surfaces.
02
Token System
Defined spacing, typography, color, and state tokens to build consistency from the foundation up.
03
Component Architecture
Built scalable component primitives for table-heavy and form-heavy views.
04
Pattern Documentation
Wrote usage rules, edge-case notes, and accessibility guidance for each component family.
05
Implementation
Integrated the system in production screens with staged rollout and visual QA checkpoints.

The Challenge

The Challenge

Inconsistent UI Slowing Teams Down

The product had grown quickly, but interface logic and visual rules were inconsistent between modules. Teams faced unnecessary friction every day.

  • Different form behavior between similar pages
  • Unclear hierarchy in dense data tables
  • Slow onboarding for new team members
  • High maintenance cost for front-end updates
Our Solution

A Systematic, Reusable Standard

We introduced a production-ready design and code system that aligned behavior, layout, and visual logic across the full product.

  • Reusable components with strict state patterns
  • Token-driven styling for consistency at scale
  • Documentation that enables self-serve product teams
  • Clear accessibility and interaction rules
